Fruit fabrics.

FruitProtect protects cherries against rain and hail during the last few weeks before harvesting. FruitProtect is a transparent woven fabric of high density polyethylene, coated with transparent polyethylene. This way FruitProtect allows a high amount of light to pass through.

In classic systems, FruitProtect is rolled down during the months that it is not in use. A black cover is pulled over to protect FruitProtect from sun light.

In the most recent systems, the fabric is rolled upwards and stored above the trees. Therefor Bonar Technical Fabrics developed FruitProtect AutoRoll. This FruitProtect Autoroll foresees a strip with extra UV protection at the upper part of the fabric. As such, the strip protects the complete fabric when rolled up.

HailProtect protects apples and pears against hail. HailProtect is a white, open fabric of highly stabilized polyethylene monofilaments. A black line in the cross direction every 160cm allows an easy and correct installation.
