BONAR Technical Fabrics introduces Duracover, the first biobased ground cover
09/02/2011
Ground covers have been common for years among those who work in the areas of landscaping and gardening. Originally, these ground covers were made primarily out of polypropylene. For several years though, the awareness has been growing that an alternative was needed.
In 2010, reseachers from the BONAR Research Center made a breakthrough with the invention of Duracover. Duracover is completely biobased, which is why it earned the higherst 4-star certificate from AIB Vinçotte. Duracover shows the same quality as the traditional BONAR ground covers: very user-friendly, almost complete opaque, well permeable, UV-resistant and very strong.
